Imam Hussain (PBUH) was the third Shia Imam and the prophet Muhammad’s grandson who was martyred and beheaded along with all 72 of his companions on the day of Ashura in Karbala. He left a will before departing from the city of Medina and travelling toward Iraq. You will see A part of Imam Hussain’s will to his brother Muhammad-e-Hanafiya in the above image in three languages:
“I did not rise up for the cause of wickedness, amusement, corruption or oppression, but I rose up to reform the Muslim community of my grandfather [Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)]. I want to promote virtue and prevent vice.”
